This is a love letter to all the incredible people who have walked through our doors and become part of our story; unfortunately, it's also a goodbye.
We have made the decision to close the retail storefront for Bee Savvy.
Bee Savvy Fine Foods began as a concept of how to "pivot" in the face of the pandemic, but it quickly grew into something far more meaningful; a space filled with friendship, laughter, and the hum of community. We’ve shared countless memories together: from the giggles of little chefs discovering their talents, to the quiet moments spent picking out gift baskets meant to celebrate joy or bring comfort in hard times.
We’ve hosted massive field-to-fork dinners in vineyards and cidery barns, met inspiring chefs and makers from across this nation, and watched you fill your homes with the flavours and traditions we poured our hearts into. We've been part of your milestones, your celebrations, and your quiet Sundays - and we’ve cherished every bit of it.
To our staff—you have been more than just employees, you have been the heartbeat of our story. Your passion for food, flavors, and cocktails has elevated many foodies' experiences. Your dedication to quality and love for exceptional flavors shone through in every interaction. Thank you for being the soul of Bee Savvy and for turning our vision into a reality with your creativity, expertise, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
One of our favorite memories happened before we even opened our original little popup location. A woman - a stranger to us at the time - walked in with flowers to simply say “Thank you for trying something new and brave in Arnprior.” She’s no longer a stranger; Shelly’s become a regular customer and a dear friend. That moment captured everything this journey has been about: love, support, leaps of faith and connection.
We’ve watched strangers meet at our cocktail classes and leave as friends, exchanging numbers, sharing stories, and planning their next get-together. That’s exactly what we dreamed this space would be - a place where connections formed over good food, great conversations, and a sense of belonging.
As we prepare to close this chapter, the connections we've made and the joy we've shared will last far beyond our final day.
If you remember anything, remember that the best parties happen in the kitchen, and just because our retail location’s doors are closing doesn’t mean that will stop. This is not the end - it’s simply a new beginning; for our family and also for whatever wonderful new business takes over this gorgeous space on Elgin Street.
Thank you for being one of the reasons this journey has been so beautiful. Thank you for making Bee Savvy Fine Foods a place where community and foodies flourished. You’ve been more than customers - you’ve been family.
With love and gratitude,
Alicia + Matt
